Assessing the Marshall Properties of Porous Asphalt Concrete

چکیده
Porous asphalt paving is a modern design method that differs from the usual pavements' traditional designs. The difference structure of porous pavements allows free passage fluids through their layers, which controls or reduces amount runoff water accumulated in area by allowing flow rain and surface runoff. cross-structure this type works as suitable for managing rainwater representing groundwater recharge. overall benefits include environmental services safety features, including controlling build-up contaminated metals on road surface, management, resistance to slipping accidents, reduced splashing, spraying pedestrians drivers.
In study, mixture's volumetric physical properties were tested, use carbon fibers mixture improver. results compared after performing following steps: Selecting best gradient selecting largest proportion air voids three gradations group according specifications (ASTM 7064), then choosing optimum ratio standard specifications, are value drain down % Cantabro abrasion loss value, well voids. After obtaining ratio, samples prepared. Carbon added it at rate (0.3%) weight total mix length (2 cm) prepared without additives. They tested Marshall device calculate stability show effects concrete properties. An increase decrease reduction during exposure high temperature observed containing fibers, 48.8%, 44%, 72%, respectively

Investigating the Creep Properties of PET-Modified Asphalt Concrete
This study has investigated the creep properties of asphaltic concrete modified with different dosages of waste polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in two different ranges of size. Uniaxial dynamic creep test at 40°C was conducted on the cylindrical specimens of the mixtures. The load was applied in two different frequencies of 0.5 and 5Hz. Creep test results showed that the accumulated strain und...
متن کاملInvestigating the Effects of Nanoclay and Nylon Fibers on the Mechanical Properties of Asphalt Concrete
This paper describes the effects of reinforcement by randomly distributed nylon fibers and addition of nanoclay on some engineering properties of a typical asphalt concrete. The properties of asphalt concrete reinforced by different percentages of 25 mm nylon fibers have been compared with those of the mixtures containing different percentages of nanoclay and those in which both the fibers and ...
متن کاملPreparation and properties of porous aerated concrete
INTRODUCTION Porous concrete, especially Aerated Autoclaved Concrete (AAC) was first developed by a Swedish engineer between the years 1920 and 1932 [1]. He was searching for a material with the properties of wood, but without the disadvantages of wood. Near the end of World War II, AAC became widely used. Vast areas of cities and industries lay in waste and tremendous rebuilding became necessa...
